Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State,
today, participated at today’s Thanksgiving Mass to commemorate this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu.
Igbere TV reports that the Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a day set apart by the federal Government of Nigeria to celebrate and eulogize past military personnel who have in one way or the other contributed to the nationhood of the Nigerian State.
Those who attended the event include, Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Priscilla Ngozi Emehelu, Heads of Security Agencies, State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Augustine Nnamani, Chairman, Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Igwe Amb. Lawrence Agubuzu, top government functionaries, the Administrator, Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu, Very Rev. Msgr. Chuks Ogbuene, the Chaplain, Enugu State Government, Very Rev. Fr. Chinedu Ozoude, other catholic priests and some clergy from other denominations, members of the Nigerian Legion, wives of the fallen heroes, among others.
