BREAKING!!! Jubilation As Gov. Umahi Pays New Minimum Wage To Ebonyi Workers on 10th January

Jubilation rocked Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Capital after Governor David Nweze Umahi paid civil servants the new minimum wage of N30,000

With this, it’s crystal clear that Ebonyi has taken the lead in the states that aligned with the Federal Government and Nigeria Labour Congress agreement for the new minimum wage of 30,000 Naira.

Igbere TV recalls that Governor Umahi on his last 2019 EXCO meeting promised that workers in Ebonyi State will start receiving the new minimum wage, effective January 1st, 2020, a promise which he further confirmed when he directed the State Accountant General and LGAs Chairmen to seek for overdraft and ensure the payment of Ebonyi workforce, the January salaries which must reflect the new minimum wage on January 10th to enable them start the new year with ease.

A quick check by Igbere TV correspondent shows that the promise and directive came alive as several civil servants were cruising to their banks and ATMs for their transactions.
