Buhari-Sayiya Farouq’s "Marriage": DSS Arrests Man For Creating Fake Video

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man from Kano for allegedly creating a fake video depicting the marriage of President Muhammadu Buhari to the Ministers of Finance and Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development.

Finance minister, Zainab Ahmed, and humanitarian affairs and social development minister, Sadiya Farouq, were made to appear as Buhari’s brides in the video.

Kabiru Mohammed, 32, was paraded on Friday following his arrest.

DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, warned against the spread of ‘fake news’ saying the secret police remains committed to the peace and stability of Nigeria.

Mr Afunanya said the DSS acted on a formal complaint by the finance minister.
