Arsenal have appointed former midfielder, Mikel Arteta, as manager until 2023.
The North London club announced this in a statement on Friday.
Igbere TV reports that the former Arsenal player spent the last three years as assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Arteta takes over from Freddie Ljungberg who was appointed as interim manager earlier in the month.
A string of poor results forced Arsenal to go for their man who takes the role on a permanent basis after Unai Emery’s sack.
