The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, is dead.
Igbere TV gathered that the Senator passed on at a private hospital in Apo area of Abuja, on Wednesday.
His death was confirmed to newsmen outside the Senate chamber by the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha.
According to Okorocha, Uwajumogu slumped while taking his bath and rushed to the hospital where he died.
As at the time of filing this report, no official release has been issued by family members or Senate leadership.
Our NASS correspondent, however, observed change in the countenance of some Senators immediately the news filtered in.
Until his demise, Senator Uwajumogu was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
