The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has suspended the rally of a faction of the All Progressives Congress in Benin, Edo State.
The IG’s letter suspending the rally was communicated to the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Philip Shuaibu.
The deputy governor showed a copy of the letter to reporters in Abuja.
