Femi Falana has slammed the Nigerian government over the rearrest of his client, Omoyele Sowore at the Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday December 6.
According to the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he suspected the Department of State Services (DSS) was up to something after he saw some people he claimed were hired by the Nigerian government protesting at the court.
Femi Falana said he was told by insiders that DSS operatives were deployed to rearrest Omoyele Sowore and detain him for undisclosed new charges, which eventually happened as captured in viral videos.
The Human Rights Activist who recounted how he and others fought and defeated military dictators, added that he won’t allow a democratically elected government to continue treating the judiciary with disdain. Falana reiterated that the act witnessed in court yesterday won’t go unchallenged.
