Governor Akeredolu Renames AAUA Senate Building After Predecessor, Mimiko (Photos)

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has renamed the Senate building of state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University after his predecessor, Olusegun Mimiko.

The governor commissioned the renaming on Friday, saying in a tweet that his administration would continue to build on Mr Mimiko’s successes.

The building is now known as Olusegun Mimiko Senate Building.

“Today we recognized the impact of my predecessor @Segunmimiko on our dear state by renaming the Senate Building of Adekunle Ajasin University (@AAUA_EDU_NG) in his honour. Government is a continuum and we will continue to build on your successes as we strive to #DevelopOndo,” Mr Akeredolu said.

Mimiko, however, was not at the ceremony to witness it firsthand.
