President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has confirmed that he is a fan of Arsenal Football Club in England.
The cleric confirmed his position on Friday via Twitter following the sack of the club’s manager, Unai Emery.
“People are asking if I’m arsenal, confirmed, since the days of Kanu. I like football and a black belter in martial arts, but Emery almost gave people heart attack.
Coaches don’t gamble. They study players and maximise their strength. Winning matches is a function of strategy,” he said.
“Wondering why Arsenal fans are happy that Emery is out. Wait till you hear who the next coach is. Still wonder how the board ended up picking Emery in the first place. I miss my football days,” Suleman added.
He also revealed that his wife, Lizzy, was a Chelsea fan.
Emery’s sack comes as the fallout of their 2-1 loss to German side, Eintracht Frankfurt, in Thursday’s Europa League match.
Former player and fans’ favourite, Freddie Ljungberg, has been named interim coach.
Mauricio Pochettino, Massimiliano Allegri and Mikel Arteta are some of the leading contenders for the job.
