UNN Conference On Witchcraft Holds, With A Catholic Priest Saying The Opening Prayer
IgbereTV reports that the much-talked-about UNN Conference On Witchcraft held on Tuesday 26th November 2019, with a Catholic priest, Innocent Enweh, saying the opening prayer.
The conference started with reading of Bible passages alongside the prayer after which the choir of Christ Church Chapel, a church located in the university, rendered the opening hymn.
The two-day conference, which is organised by Professor B. I. C. Ijomah Centre for Policy and Research in UNN, began succesfuly on Tuesday despite serious opposition from various groups, including the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.
The speakers majorly spoke on Africa’s erroneous belief about witchcraft.
The event was well attended by some members of staff, students, some members of the university community and visitors.
