AccountabilityNG: Bail Order Does Not Demand A Surety For Sowore's Release

IgbereTV reports that a civil society organisation known as Leadership and Accountability Initiative has said that there was nowhere stated in the bail order that a surety is required for the release of the detained Revolution Now Activist, Omoyele Sowore.

Recall that the Spokesperson for DSS, Dr. Peter Afunnaya, at a media briefing in Abuja on Tuesday urged those who stood as sureties for Sowore to present themselves for his release

Leadership and Accountability Initiative said that the international community is gradually getting interested in the case of Sowore’s continued detention and in no distant time Nigeria may be viewed as a dictatorship state.

The organization made this news available on Twitter. It reads:

The attention of the Int’l Community is hereby drawn to the brazen disregard of a court order by the Nigerian govt releasing Sowore. Nowhere in the bail order was the DSS asked to release him to a Surety.

Nigeria is in danger of becoming a full scale dictatorship. @StateDept
