To save cost of governance and ensure that guests of the state government are suitably accommodated in a secure and conducive environment, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration in Enugu State, late last year, awarded contract for the construction of ten (10) units of Executive Guest House at the old Governor’s Lodge, GRA, Enugu.
Approval for the project was given adequate attention by the State Executive Council (EXCO) considering that Enugu, as the historic capital of Eastern Region, old Anambra State, old Enugu State and the capital of the present Enugu State, with influx of dignitaries on varied official engagements, has never had a guest house for its visitors being lodged in hotels at government’s expense.
The state-of-the-art ten-unit guest house which stands out as a legacy project is nearing completion, to be deployed for its purpose in line with the state government’s commitment to prudent management of resources and hospitality.
Enugu State is in the hands of God! ##
