The woman burnt to death along with her child in Wednesday fire accident in Onitsha, has been identified as Ifeoma Nwoye from Umuife village in Urum community, Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igbere TV reports.
Onitsha is the commercial hub of Anambra State.
Eyewitnesses said that the fire began at 3 am on Friday along Onitsha-Enugu expressway opposite Besoy filling station.
Cars and houses are alleged to have been razed.
Reports gathered by Igbere TV say that the fire has been put out and that there is no report of human casualties.
The latest incident comes two days after three persons were killed, including a mother and her child, when a fuel tanker fell and went up in flames at MCC Bus stop near Toronto Hospital, Upper-Iweka, Onitsha.
