Ahead of Igbere TV Leadership Award at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has stepped down for his senior colleagues and commended Igbere TV for the wonderful initiative.
Hon. Kalu who is representing Bende Federal Constituency and also the Official Spokesman of the House of Representatives said he is humbled with the nomination by general public but however feels his Senior Colleagues deserve the award more than him.
He noted that the 9th House of Representatives is still at its nascent stage and as such there are other senior colleagues who have worked very hard in House before he was elected recently.
He, however, said that in the future,after some of his senior colleagues may have been recognised, he will consider receiving the award.
He further thanked Nigerians for the nomination and lauded the management of Igbere TV for finding him worthy to receive the award.
Recall that Hon. Kalu was nominated with other four House of Representatives members for the best performing House of Representatives category.
