Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has sacked his special assistant on political matters, Augustine Pelemo.
A statement on Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, said the sack was with immediate effect.
Mr Ojogo explained that the action was imperative to instill sanity and end divisive acts and tendencies inimical to the existing cordiality and cohesion in the state administration.
The commissioner said the governor had directed the aide to hand over government’s property in his possession to the deputy chief of staff, wishing him well in his future endeavours.
