He said, “the people of Abia state have rejected in strong terms the appointment of Chief Nwogu Nwogu as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on the grounds that he (Nwogu) lacks the administrative acumen and political popularity to champion the cause of the people.
“Nwogu has never added any value to the APC. He is fond of collecting greek gifts from Abia state government under the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led government.
“During the 2019 general elections including the presidential election, which returned President Buhari, Nwogu did not participate in the campaign and other party activities not to talk of supporting the party with funds.
“Nwogu is not the candidate of Abia people nor the candidate of APC members. He is on his own. The people have rejected his nomination.
“We join other notable Abians in rejecting Nwogu’s appointment” .
The group, while calling on the Presidency to replace Nwogu with Hon. Kasarachi Enyinna, who they described as a loyal, committed and passionate member of the APC, added that he (Enyinna) is a financier of the party in Abia state.
