The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said its visit to Vice President Osinbajo on Friday was to hear his own side of the story on his involvement in the N90bn scandal. Igberetv reports.
Recall that the money was said to have been used to campaign for the APC during the presidential election in which Muhammadu Buhari won.
In a statement by CAN President, Rev. Samson Ayolunle, through his media aide, Bayo Oladeji, he said, “Anyone accused of corruption has to prove his or her innocence with documentary evidence before the court of competent jurisdiction as we all know before his or her innocence can be upheld. After we had interacted with him and he said that the allegation was baseless and should be treated as rubbish. CAN advised Osinbajo to prove his innocence legally.
