A court in the United Kingdom on Thursday granted the Federal Government’s request to stay execution of the $9.6billion judgement permitting Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID) to seize $9.6billion in Nigerian assets.
The court, however, ruled that the order for stay of execution was conditional.
It ruled that Nigeria must pay a sum of $200 million into the court’s account within 60 days for the stay of execution to be effective.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, is the leader of the Nigerian legal team in London.
