Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two men for stealing phones, Igbere TV reports.
The suspects whose name were not mentioned decided to took advantage of the traffic caused by the fallen tanker yesterday, Friday, September 20th on Otedola Bridge.
After being arrested by officers on patrol, stolen phones were recovered from them and they have been handed over to various Divisional Police Stations.
Yesterday, there was panic among motorists in Lagos State on Friday after a diesel-laden tanker fell on Otedola Bridge inward Berger Bus Stop.
Firefighters, traffic officials, policemen and other emergency service personnel were immediately drafted to the scene to prevent further accident any loss of life.
Traffic from the scene stretched as far back as Gbagada and Ojota areas, with motorists advised to seek alternative routes.
