Woman Arrested By Police For Molesting 10-Year-Old Anambra Girl In Asaba. Photos

A suspected child molester has been apprehended by police operatives in Asaba, Delta state capital. The suspect alleged to have molested a 10-year-old girl was arrested yesterday evening by police officers attached to GRA Police Station, Asaba.

Behind Bars Initiative received the report of the child abuse on Sunday 8th July before collaborating with the police and arresting the female suspect who is reportedly not related to the victim.

Plans are underway to take the girl to Okuzu in Anambra state in search of her mother.

A female suspected kidnapper was, yesterday, nabbed at a crèche on Orelope street, Egbeda, Lagos, while allegedly trying to abduct a child.It was gathered that she came with her accomplices in a car, but they fled and left her behind after she was caught. .

According to reports, the suspect has since been handed over to the policemen attached to Idimu police station.

Female Child Traffickers Who Sold Three Siblings At N2.7Million, Arrested. Photo

Three suspected child traffickers who sold three siblings at N2.7 million have been arrested by men of the Ondo State Police Command. Uchena Ezewenke, Nkiru Victoria and Augustine Anyanwu, were said to have sold their victims to three different persons in Asaba, Delta State.

Ezewenke and Nkiru, who were paraded by the police on Wednesday, confessed to the crime.

The three children of the same parent are Stephen Jude, four years; Monday Stephen, two years and Faith Stephen, 10 years.

They were reportedly taken away by one of their co-tenants at No 12 Ayeyemi Street, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and sold at N900,000 each.

One of the suspects, Nkiru, said she bought one of the children from Augustine at N600,000 and re-sold  it to Uchena at N900,000.

“I asked them to verify the source before selling the kid to me. I even consulted my pastor before transacting the business to know if it was a pure business,” she said.

Another suspect, Ezewenke, said she decided to adopt the child because of barrenness, adding that she had been married for over 20 years without a child.

The suspect, 45, said she perpetrated the act for her to be entitled to her husband’s wealth.

She said: “I may lose out if I fail to give birth to a child for my husband because his relatives will drive me away. I did not know the child was stolen.”

Patience Stephen, mother of the victims, said she left four of her children at home on that fateful day while going to the farm but met only one of them when she came back. She said: “The eldest of the children told me they went to night vigil with one of our co-tenants,  Esther, who had just spent about six days in our house.

“I looked around all churches in Ondo and Ile Oluji town and could not find them. I was so sad losing three children at a time. “We reported at the police station and for about four months, we had been looking for them until they found the three of them in different homes in Asaba where they sold them to.”

“They have even changed the names of my children to another name but I thank God for answering my prayers. He has been so faithful.”

Femi Joseph, the state Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO), said two of the suspects were arrested in Asaba, Delta state.

Joseph said one of the suspects, Augustine, had earlier been charged to court while other suspects will soon appear in court.

Cultists On The Run After Raping Girl Repeatedly During Initiation In A Bush.

Some group of cultists are said to be on the run after allegedly raping a girl multiple times during initiation into their group. The girl was allegedly raped in the process of being initiated in the cult group yesterday in Sapele area of Delta state.

Journalist Sapele Oghenek who shared the news reported that the cultists had their way with girl several times before letting her go after taking her into the bush for the initiation. The girl who couldn’t contain the shame/guilt told her parents what happened before the authorities were alerted.

Report has it that the cultists believed to be responsible for the rape are currently on the run after their actions were revealed.

Girls being raped during cult initiations seem to have become a negative trend in most parts of the country.

Earlier this month, no fewer than 30 teenage girls in some Junior Secondary School in Enugu state were repeatedly gang-raped during and after initiation into some cult confraternities.

Following a tip-off, the police raided some schools in Enugu where they were confronted with the tragic situation and arrested many.

A police Sergent serving with the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, in Calabar, Cross River State, has been arrested and detained for alleged murder.

Offa: Police arrest Vice President of Poly SUG, others


Police in Kwara State, on Tuesday said it had arrested the Vice President of the Federal Polytechnic Offa Students’ Union Government.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Aminu Saleh said the VP, Tajudeen Selim, was arrested for alleged involvement in cultism in Offa Poly, in the Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The CP said that other Offa Poly students: Temitope Omotosho, Adewusi Vincent, an ex-student of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Olanipekun Abimbola, and another suspect, Ayomide Ololade, were arrested for alleged involvement in cultism.

The police commissioner said this through the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, while parading the suspects in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

He said, “These cultists from the Federal Polytechnic Offa blatantly refused to heed our warning and were rounded up by the Anti-Cultism Unit of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, during the process of initiating new members in preparation for an attack.”

Saleh said Akinsebikan George and Gbolahan Ogunleye, were newly initiated, adding that the red and white regalia of Aiye Confraternity, razor blade, calabash and one live cartridge were recovered from the suspects.

But speaking with reporters, Selim, who is a HND two student in the Department of Quantity Surveying, said he was not a cultist.

He said, “Someone came here to accuse us that we are cultists. Since I became the Vice President of the Offa Polytechnic Students’ Union Government, I have not recorded any cult clash.

“I have always been there to settle any problem that could arise. If there is any fracas in the school, the Students’ Union Government would direct me to intervene. That is the reason why I was there.

“I was there the day they arrested the suspected cultists on behalf of the union so that there will be peace on our campus.”

A 26-year-old lady identified as Bunmi Adebayo, has said the desperation to have a baby after 10 years of marriage, made her steal a three-week old baby in Modakeke, Osun State. .She allegedly stole the baby named David Oluwaseun, on Sunday July 1, 2018. According to Punchng, the suspect, who resided in Magboro, Ogun State, was arrested on Saturday at Orile Imo.

Parading the suspect on Tuesday, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said “the suspect took her desperation too far.” .He said the suspect had lied to her husband, who used to visit her at her abode at intervals, that she was pregnant.

And after nine months, Iliyasu, said, the suspect called her husband and broke the news that she had been delivered of a baby boy. .The news, he added gladdened the heart of the husband, Gbenga Adebayo, who rushed down to her residence. But, he was said to have become curious when he demanded for the placenta and the suspect was unable to present it. .

Iliyasu explained further that when the husband asked her to breastfeed the baby in his presence, she was unable to do so. .Having realised the curiosity of her husband, she was said to have absconded from the home, and her husband had to report to the Police that his wife was missing. .

The Police search team caught up with her at Orile Imo, where she was arrested and the baby was rescued.

A manhunt has been launched for a young lady who allegedly stole an old woman’s properties and absconded in Sapele area of Delta state. According to reports, the suspect stole the grandmother’s N90,000, her plasma TV, generator, fans and other household items before vanishing into thin air.

Anyone who has seen her or knows her whereabouts is advised to contact the police authorities.

Suspected Killer Of Daughter Of Former Deputy Governor, Arrested By Police

Adeyemi Alao, the boyfriend and suspected killer of Miss Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command, according to Radio Nigeria.

Khadijat, who was a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, was found dead in her boyfriend’s house, Adeyemi, popularly known as Q.S.

Miss Khadijat who was declared missing for the past six days at the school, was found under the bed of her boyfriend in what was suspected to a money ritual by the boyfriend Adeyemi Alao popularly known as QS.

It was reported that an Herbalist that did the money ritual for Adeyemi who is currently at large, instructed him to keep the corpse for seven days but lucky ran out of the Abuja-based boyfriend when his younger brother met the decomposing body of Oluboyo’s daughter in mysterious manner and he later reported the incident to the police in Akure.

Confirming the arrest, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph said the suspected killer was arrested by a team of detectives from the police Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

The PPRO said Adeyemi who was already in the police custody, had been cooperating with the police with relevant information on the circumstances that led to the death of Khadijat Oluboyo.

The police spokesman assured that the case would be thoroughly investigated with a view to establishing facts behind the death of the former deputy governor’s daughter at her boyfriend’s house.

A notorious fraudster who had been allegedly extorting money from the unsuspecting persons with a police identity card has finally been arrested by the police.

The suspect, Mahmuda Hamza, while being paraded over the weekend in the police headquarters in Sokoto State confessed he had been extorting money from people with a police identity card.

He explained that he took the identity card from a deceased policeman and attached his passport photograph to it.

“I am a fraudster and I know I have committed an offense but I am pleading, I will not go into crime again if I am pardoned. I am not an armed robber, but a fraudster.

” I have two wives and seven children and I feed them all from the money I make through this fraud,” he added.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Cordelia Nwawe parading the suspect with some area boys, maintained that the Commissioner of Police in the state had declared war against area boys and other miscreants.

The PPRO, therefore advised parents to caution their wards to be law abiding.

Miss Adenike Khadijat Oluboyo, a final year Student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko in Ondo state – has been found dead. The deceased, a daughter of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo was reportedly found dead at the home of her boyfriend in Akure, the state capital.

Kidnappers & Killers Of Iheanacho Arrested By Police (Photos)

The police today shared pictures showing the moment some notorious kidnappers were nabbed by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the IGP Monitoring Unit last month. The suspected criminals were responsible for the death of a staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, John Iheanacho.

Despite collecting a ransom of N6million from his family, the kidnappers held the victim hostage in their camp in Afam, a community in the Oyingbo area of the state, until he died from a gunshot wound.

His demise was hidden from the family about three months after his abduction, when his corpse was found in a shallow grave at the camp by the police.

It was learnt that the seven-man gang had trailed a man in a Toyota Camry to an estate in Irebe, a suburb of Port Harcourt, on March 20, 2018 but missed their target.

While returning from the operation in the night, they saw Iheanacho driving into the estate and went after him in their car. The man was in front of his house when they intercepted him.

They were said to have shot him in the leg and whisked him away in his car to their camp.

It was gathered that they subsequently contacted the deceased’s wife and demanded a N50m ransom, which was later reduced to N6m.

It was gathered that the family reported the case to the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team as the gang failed to release the man after the ransom was paid.

The operatives subsequently tracked down the suspects, who led them to the camp, and Iheanacho’s body was exhumed.

Robber Sneaks Into Police Station, Steals Motorcycle In Broad Daylight

A 25-year old robber, Mr. Idris Aliu did the unthinkable after he sneaked into a police station, beat all the security apparatus, stole an unregistered motorcycle at the station and escaped.

The incident happened at Olosun Police Division in Mushin, Lagos where the Bajaj motorcycle seized by the police was parked as exhibit.

People were still surprised how Aliu managed to beat the security on duty to steal the bike and escape from the station. It was gathered that the suspect had monitored the security situation at the station and saw that it was porous; he then stole the bike and escape with it.

However, he was unlucky as he used the bike to work during late hours banned for riding Okada in the state. The police then apprehended him at Alhaji Amusa Street area of Mushin by the traffic light for contravening traffic laws. He was arrested with the bike and taken to the police station for the alleged offence. It was then that the police realised that he stole the bike from the station. He was detained and later charged before Ogba Magistrates court for stealing.

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor did not oppose his being granted bail.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Layinka granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 6th of August, 2018.

Recently, a suspect sneaked into Ejigbo Police Division, stole a motorcycle and escaped. The suspect is facing trial before Ejigbo Magistrates court.
