As Okorocha Bows Out As The Governor Of Imo State By Wisdom Nwedene(Photos)

Written by Wisdom Nwedene

From today, Rochas Okorocha will be known as former Governor of Imo State. This shows that nothing lasts forever, and in whatever position we find ourselves, we should try to make a positive impact and touch the lives of people because that’s what we will be remembered for. A good legacy.

Okorocha in his first tenure tried but everything changed immediately he entered into the second phase of his administration. He allowed greed to engulf him instead of the interest of Imolites that elected him.

Okorocha and Wife

Okorocha constructed many projects but it is imperative to note those projects have started to collapse which is a total disgrace to him.

If I were him, I will be in shame that the projects I built while in office started collapsing while still in office. But here he is, boasting that he is the best governor Imo State has ever produced.

While addressing Imolites, he said :

“I am a lover of peace. As I walk out of this government house today, let nobody fight me and I will fight nobody”.

Like seriously?

A lover of peace who destroyed people’s markets despite the case being in court?

In case he has short memory, let me remind him that the blood of the little boy killed during the destruction of that market is still crying for justice.

Let me remind Okorocha that the roads leading to his village is in the state of jamboree and very soon he won’t be able to travel to his village again.

Also a bridge leading to Ogboko, the village of Okorocha reportedly collapsed.

Another part of the same road has almost been cut off after heavy rainfall in the area.

Let’s not forget that this Okorocha slashed civil servants salaries, giving pensioners cheques that are not cashable and tried removing his Deputy just to make his Son-in-law the governor of the state.

There were high rates of kidnappings, Killings, assassinations in his administration.

In conclusion, whatever a man sow, that’s what he will reap. And the time has come for Okorocha to reap what he planted in 8 years of being in office.
