A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state Benjamin Kalu has congratulated Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on his victory at the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State.
In release made available to Abia Breaking News, the Bende Federal Constituency aspirant also stated that APC is the party to beat in the 2019 general election, despite what he described as gang up against the party.
“I heartily congratulate the incoming Ekiti state governor, John Kayode Fayemi on his landslide victory at the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
“This shows that our party APC has continued to wax stronger in popularity and in providing responsible leadership to the people. It is no doubt the party to beat come 2019 even with the gang up of strange bed fellows” the statement read.
He also called on all parties to join hands in building the state. “The Ekiti victory is well deserved especially with the track record of Dr. Fayemi as a seasoned administrator. Now that politics is over, the real business of governance commences now. All parties must lend their support for the benefit of Ekiti people” he concluded.
