BREAKING!!! "Shoot At Sight Anyone Who Tries To Kill Any Ebonyian" - Gov. Umahi Orders Security Agencies

Following a renewed crisis rocking Ohankwu in Ikwo LGA and Amana in Ezza South LGA, Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Sunday, ordered security agencies to shoot at sight and possibly shoot to kill anyone who tries to kill any Ebonyian within and outside the location.

In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Sunday by Ugbala Kenneth Igwe,
Secretary to the State Government/Coordinating Commissioner, Umahi said the Ebonyi State Government has been bombarded with text messages by the citizens of Ohankwu in Ikwo LGA and Amana in Ezza South LGA as a result of the communal crisis.

 

The statement reads,

(1) The Governor directs the security agencies to shoot at sight and possibly shoot to kill anyone who tries to kill any Ebonyian within and outside this location.

2) The Governor of Ebonyi State and the Chief Security Officer of Ebonyi State, further directs the security officers to move to the mining sites located within Ohankwu and Amana and camp there.
Also, the Neighbourhood security watches from Ezza South LGA and Ikwo LGA are hereby redeployed as follows:
(a) Ezza South Neighbourhood Watch are to camp within Ezza South LGA, outside the mining site, combing the village to track down trouble makers.
(b) Ikwo Neighbourhood Watch are to camp within Ikwo LGA, outside the mining site, to equally track down trouble makers.

(c) Whereas Abakaliki Neighbourhood Watch and their counterparts from Southern Zone of Ebonyi State are to work hand to hand with Security agencies deployed within the mining site to maintain law and order only in the aforementioned mining site under contention.

Please, note that this order is with immediate effect.
