Tanker Explosion : Gov. Obiano Meets With Market Executives(Photos)

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano on Friday, met with executive members of Ochanja market, at the Governor’s Lodge, today, over Wednesday’s tanker explosion, Igbere TV reports.

Delivering a communique at the end of the indoor meeting with the Governor, the Secretary of Ochanja Market, Mr Peter Chidike said that government set up a ten -man committee had been set up by the State government, five persons from the market executives and five persons from government.

According to the communique, Governor Obiano has approved that a brand new fire fighting vehicle be stationed at the market, as well as construction of access around the market with immediate effect.

The communique also reads that persons that are affected should not go to Dr Alex Ekwueme Square as earlier announced, but should wait for the Committee to come and meet them.

Commissioner for Public Utilities, Mr Emeka Ezenwanne, his Works counterpart, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Creative Security, Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi, Executive Chairman of the State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Mmaduekwe, the State fire Director, Engineer Martin Agbili, among others were part of the meeting.
