Nigerian Man, Ikechukwu, Gets Inducted Into U.S. Navy (Photos)

A Nigerian man from the East, Ikechukwu Duke Ashiedu, alias Saviola, has been inducted into the United States (U.S.) Navy, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Ashiedu is an alumnus of the University of Benin, and one-time Director of Sports of the school’s Students Union Government (SUG).

The U.S. Navy is the naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. 

It is the most capable navy in the world and world’s largest aircraft carrier fleet, with eleven in service, and two new carriers under construction. 

With 336,978 personnel on active duty and 101,583 in the Ready Reserve, 290 deployable combat vessels and more than 3,700 operational aircraft, the U.S. navy is the third-largest air force in the world, after the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.
