Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has continued his transformation agenda by renovating the old Abakaliki Township stadium to a beautiful, modern and more standard Township Stadium.
The Stadium which is now known as “Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium” is located at Abakaliki City and has been the talk of the town ever since it was transformed by Umahi.
Meanwhile, Igbere TV gathered that Umahi is set to construct an Olympic stadium in the state.
Recall that prior to 2019 general elections, Umahi pledged to construct an Olympic stadium, airport and major infrastructure in Ebonyi during his second tenure as the state’s helmsman.
Speaking with Igbere TV correspondent, Umahi’s Special Assistant on New Media, Mr. Francis Nwaze stated that the new stadium is on the way.
He said : “The touch of good governance by the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE on the former secondary school field named Abakaliki Township Stadium is a perfect example of quality transformation.”
“The stadium is now competing favourably with every other stadium within the zone even though the real stadium which will hopefully be hosting international football matches is on the way.”
“Ebonyi is speedily rising.”
