President Muhammadu Buhari has finally returned to Nigeria from Yokohama, Japan, one week (7 days) after he jetted out of the country, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that the president’s presidential jet marked ‘NAF 001’ touched ground at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at exactly 11:37pm (Saturday).

This was disclosed by Mallam Bashir Ahmed, Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, in a terse statement issued Saturday night and sighted by Igbere TV.

“President @MBuhari has tonight, returned to Abuja after his participation in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (#TICAD7) in Yokohama, Japan for Abuja. #PMBinJapan”, he tweeted.

President Buhari departed Abuja Sunday last week for Japan to participate in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7).

The programme, which most of its activities were reported by Igbere TV, held in the City of Yokohama from August 28 to 30, 2019.

A statement by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, had said that Buhari’s participation would be his second, having attended TICAD6 in Nairobi, Kenya, in Aug. 2016.
