National Chairman of the United Registered Political Parties (URPP), Dr. Michael Obasuyi, was involved in a car accident while returning from Auchi in Edo where he attended a meeting earlier today, Igbere TV reports.
Speaking with Igbere TV, Obasuyi said the accident occurred at Ewu when his car, which he drove personally, hit a motorcyclist while travelling at 120kpm and immediately went up in flames.
Although injuries were recorded on both sides, according to the former House of Representatives candidate, no life was however lost in the accident.
Igbere TV reports that Michael Obasuyi has since been hospitalized in a private hospital Benin, where he is undergoing medical treatment owing to the accident.
He thanked all those who called to express gratitude to God for saving his life while praying for quick recovery for everyone injured in the accident.
