Governor Yahaya Bello on Thursday emerged the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Kogi State 2019 governorship election, Igbere TV reports.
Our correspondent (who monitored the situation) reports that Bello polled 3,127 votes in the party’s primaries held today in Lokoja, to emerge winner.
Although counting is still on at the collation centre as at press time, with more candidates left to share less than 50 per cent of what Bello polled.
The Kogi 2019 gubernatorial election holds in November. The opposition PDP is expected to present their flag bearer anytime soon, with Senator Dino Melaye as top contender.
