Operatives of the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have been caught again on camera assaulting a boy and his mother, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV gathered that the SARS officers assaulted the duo over the boy’s refusal to handover his phone to them to search when they accosted him.
The incident, Igbere TV learned, happened on Wednesday at Ring Road Square in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, close to the state assembly.
The SARS officers were captured beating and assaulting the boy together with his mother as she struggled to stop them from taking her son away.
Igbere TV observed from the video that the SARS officers had to push the woman away, falling flat on her back before whisking away the yet-to-be identified young man.
His clothes were also observed to have been torn on his body, in addition to the several hits from the beating and assaults.
Incidents of SARS harassment has become a regular occurrence in Nigeria, with unending calls on the government to scrap the agency using the #EndSARS campaign.
Many innocent youths have lost their lives to SARS men, with those alive to tell the story, narrating how they have been forcefully made to part way with huge sums of money to regain freedom.
