President Muhammadu Buhari will on Sunday depart Nigeria for Japan to participate in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that the development was announced by the President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on Friday via his Twitter handle.
According to Ahmad, the event is billed to hold in the City of Yokohama, Japan, and will span from August 28 – 30, 2019.
“President @MBuhari will depart Abuja Sunday for Japan to participate in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) holding in the City of Yokohama, August 28-30, 2019”, Ahmad tweeted.
Earlier today, the president met with some traditional rulers from the northern part of Nigeria, under the auspices of Northern Traditional Council (NTC).
The meeting, which was previously reported by Igbere TV, held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, around 11.30 am.
The traditional rulers present at the meeting were the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa’ad; the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, the Emir of Bida, and the Emir of Daura.
