A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, rejected the suit seeking to restrain President Muhammadu Buhari from swearing in his ministers, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that indigenes of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had approached the court to stop the planned inauguration over the exclusion of an FCT native from the list.
But the presiding judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo, on Monday, turned down the request of the applicants saying it was coming very late.
He said such application should have come up earlier before the screening (of ministerial nominees) was done.
Justice Taiwo, however, said that he will prefer to hear the substantive suit and give a formal verdict rather than granting interim restraining order as requested by the applicants.
