Some Indians, on Wednesday, stormed the Nigerian Embassy in India, over alleged poor treatment of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who is currently in their country for medical treatment, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV gathered that the protesting Indians also called for the “total freedom” of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, better known as Shiites.
Igbere TV recalls that El-Zakzaky and wife, Zeenat arrived India yesterday for medical treatment after a Kaduna State High Court granted them leave to travel abroad.
They were, before then, under the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, for many years over alleged genocide.
The protesting Indians carried placards with inscription that read, “Free Sheik Zakzaky.” “We condemn illegal detention.”
