JUST IN: Court Grants EFCC’s Request To Freeze Bauchi Govt Account

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to freeze an account belonging to the Bauchi State government, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV gathered that the account — 0998552074 domiciled with First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Bauchi, is being investigated for alleged fraudulent transactions.

The presiding judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo, while granting the request on Monday, urged the anti-graft agency to put the Bauchi govt on notice of the order within 21 days.
