Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has emerged the 2019 Hall of Grace Man of the Year, Igbere TV reports.
This was the high point of the 9th Session of the Hall of Grace Awards and Annual General meeting which took place at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Governor Emmanuel, according to the organisers, was nominated because of his outstanding performance in industrialisation and other foreign direct initiatives.
The event which had as theme, Celebrating Nigeria’s Democracy at 20, saw the Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem.
According to the chairman of Board of the organisation and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Governor Emmanuel was selected based on merit, which also explained why he was nominated to give the keynote address at the AGM.
