Mr. Clement Francis Ikpatt, a member of the All Progressive Congress, has threatened the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom state governor on Research and Documentation, Mr Essien Ekefre Ndueso.

Igbere TV reports that Mr. Ndueso has petitioned the police in Akwa Ibom over the threat to his life.

In a petition dated July 26, 2019 obtained by Igbere TV with the title: :Public Assault and Threat to my Life by  Mr Clement Francis  Ikpatt”, and   addressed to the Commissioner of Police, State Police Headquarters, Uyo, Mr Essien Ekefre Ndueso said he no longer feels safe to carry out his normal activities in the state.
Clement Ikpatt, a one time Special Assistant to former Governor Godswill Akpabio on Diaspora Affairs, had on Wednesday 24th July 2019 at the premises of Magistrate Court Uyo, threatened to deal with Mr Ndueso, who he accused of giving details about him to respondents’ lawyers in the ongoing hearing of the petition filed by the candidate of APC against the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel on March 9 2019.

According to the petition made available to Igbere TV, the threat was issued after the said Clement Ikpatt had testified before the tribunal in support of the petitioner.

“I was walking out of the courtroom after the adjournment of the day’s session at about 4.15pm when suddenly I came across the said Clement Ikpatt in company of some young men. He rushed at me, cursing and abusing me, accusing me as the brain behind certain questions he fielded during his cross examination, when he testified at the tribunal as one of the petitioner’s witnesses.

Apart from threatening to deal with me to prove to me that I am staying in Uyo, he also promised to make me regret ‘leaking’ some information about him to the respondents’ Counsels”

Clement Ikpatt who is from Afaha Affiong in Nsit Ibom local government area was also in company of two young men that also promised to ‘teach the Governor’s aide a lesson in this Uyo’.

“Two of the boys with him, also joined in issuing threats on me. One of them specifically accused me of writing on the media against the APC Candidate, Nsima Ekere and vowed that he will teach me a lesson.

“You this man, Nsima is from Eket and you are from Eket and you are writing against him, I will show you that I am a marine”, the petition reads in part.
Mr Ndueso therefore called on the state police command to commence full scale investigation into the matter to enable him go about his normal activities without any further fear of molestations.
