Man Dies After Falling From Top Floor Of High Court Building

A man identified simply as Moses, today, fell to his death from the top floor of the Edo State High Court, sending panic in the area, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV learnt that the deceased fell from the 10th from of the building when he tried using a faulty elevator which had been removed for repairs.

A source said the deceased, who was visiting the court for the first time, had gone through a door he thought was the toilet and fell to his death.

A relative of the 65-year-old told newsmen that they were in the court room waiting for a lawyer when Moses went out to ease himself.

According to him, after waiting for several hours, he decided to check when he heard noise outside only for him to find Moses motionless body.

The relative, however, blamed the contractor for Moses death, saying there was no sing that the place is a no go area.

Contacted, Spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the incident, told Igbere TV that some staff of the High Court have been invited for questioning.

Similarly, a middle-aged woman, Mercy, who identified herself as a niece of the deceased, said justice must be served.
