The Kwara State Government has reacted to the abduction of four Turkish nationals in the state.
Igbere TV had previously reported how a gang of suspected kidnappers abducted four expatriates along Gbugbu-Lafiagi road on in Edu local Government Areaof the state on Saturday night.
We gave the names of the kidnap victims as Seyit Keklik (25), Yasin Colak (33), Ergun Yurdakul (35), and Senerapal (40).
Igbere TV gathered that the abducted expatriates were working at a quarry site located within the area.
They were said to have gone out to buy energy drinks when the kidnappers waylaid them and took them to an unknown destination.
Reacting to the development, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Monday, said he is working closely with the security agencies to ensure those abducted are rescued.
In a statement sent to Igbere TV by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor appealed for calm and asked residents to go about their normal and lawful businesses.
