Igbere TV has been able to establish that President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to change the portrait in his office, despite issuing an order on the new one.
Igbere TV reports that Presidency had last week, approved a new portrait for the President, asking Nigerians to adopt that as the official one.
A statement issued from Office of Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, said the portrait should be used in offices and establishments including banks, schools, hospitals etc.
However, findings by Igbere TV revealed that the President still makes use of the old portrait in his office despite approving a new one.
A recent tweet by @NGRPresident similarly showed the old portrait hanging on the wall in his office.
The Presidency had attached a photo to the tweet;
“Chief of Defence Staff General Abayomi Olonisakin salutes President @MBuhari ahead of their meeting today at the State House.”
The photo was taken by the President’s personal photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo.
Contacted by Igbere TV on Sunday, President’s Spokesman, Femi Adesina said he is not aware of the development.
“Not aware”, he simply wrote in response to a text sent to his phone.
