Former Abia State Governor and Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Orji Kalu has commiserated with former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Makarfi over the demise of his father, Mallam Muhammad Makarfi, Igbere TV reports.
According to Kalu, the late Makarfi was a community leader and devout Muslim, who committed his resources to the development of his community.
The former governor, while extolling the virtues of the late Makarfi , prayed to Allah to grant the late community leader al-Jannah Firdaus.
Kalu while speaking on telephone with the former Governor on Thursday evening, stressed that the late Makarfi lived a purposeful life and left behind worthy legacies for his family members to uphold.
The Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate while condoling with the Markafi family, urged the former governor and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their late father will be remembered for his good deeds.
