The Senate on Wednesday set up ad-hoc committee to probe the crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV gathered that members of the committee are to work with the House of Representatives committee on the same matter.
Igbere TV recalls that the House of Representatives had on Tuesday, set u a seven-man committee to prosecute the same crisis.
This followed a motion which urged the House to take over the functions of the Edo Assembly in line with the Constitution.
The motion was brought by Julius Ihonvbere, Peters Akpatason and Johnson Oghuma during plenary.
They argued that the action would enable the lawmakers to constitute proper inauguration of the state Assembly.
