BREAKING: FG Ban Sales And Use Of Sniper (See Why)

The Federal Government has banned the sales and use of sniper across the country, Igbere TV reports.

It, therefore, ordered agro-dealers to withdraw the popular agricultural pesticide from open markets and supermarkets in the country.

This, it said, is to reduce the use of the chemicals for suicide mission across the country.

The development was announced by Dr. Bukar Usman, the Director of Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products Directorate, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Igbere TV reports.

Since Sniper hit the Nigerian market, it has become the favourite of most Nigerians, especially the poor for killing mosquitoes and other pests.

Similarly, the product has also been abused by many as they use it to commit suicide.

Just yesterday, a 300-level Medical Laboratory Science student of UNIBEN, Christabel, took her own life by consuming the harmful pesticide, Igbere TV reports.
