Members of the Imo State House of Assembly on Thursday elected Hon Chiji Collins as the new Speaker.
Igbere TV reports that the new speaker was elected unopposed following a nomination by Lawman Duruji and seconded Kennedy Ibe.
Collins was elected on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) but defected to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) three days ago to enable him to emerge the Speaker.
