- Ike Ekweremadu is the longest-serving Presiding Officer in the history of the National Assembly having served as the Deputy Senate President for 12 consecutive years.
- Only 2 lawmakers have featured in all National Assembly inauguration since the return of civil rule and the 4th republic in 1999 till date. They are Sen. Ahmed Lawan and Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu. They are both serving their 6th terms with their inauguration in the 9th Assembly.
- Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Delta State is the longest and highest serving Federal Lawmaker of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly. He is on a 6th term. Igbere TV
- With Femi Gbajabiamila’s emergence as the Speaker House of Representativess, he is the first person in Nigeria history to ever hold the trio positions of the leader of the opposition (Minority Leader), Leader of the ruling party (Majority Leader) and Leader of the House of Representatives (Speaker).
