Yesterday, elections were held at the National Assembly to elect new leaders to oversee the activities of the lawmakers for the next four years.
Igbere TV had reported that the election saw the emergence of Femi Gbajabiamila as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Gbajabiamila is the lawmaker representing Surulere I Federal Constituency at the House of Representative.
Less than 24 hours after he was sworn in, some major roads in Surulere have been flooded by banners celebrating his emergence as the Speaker.
Igbere TV gathered that the banners were sponsored by popular Nollywood Actor, Desmond Elliot, who is now a lawmaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
