President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday renamed the Abuja national stadium to MKO Abiola stadium, Igbere TV reports.
The change of name came at the June 12 democracy day celebration which is currently taking place at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Igbere TV recalls that Buhari had similarly named June 12 as democracy day after the late MKO Abiola, who is believed to have won the popular annulled June 12, 1993 election.
