Ned Nwoko, husband of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, was denied accreditation by the management of the National Assembly on Sunday.
The 59-year-old lawyer was an early caller at the National Assembly complex for documentation, ahead of Tuesday’s inauguration ceremony.
However, he was turned down by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori.
Omolori informed him that the decision not to accredit him was taken because of unsettled electoral disputes in his Delta North senatorial district.
In May, a Court of Appeal in Abuja sacked Ned Nwoko as senator-elect for the district and reinstated Peter Nwaoboshi.
Reports indicate that Nwaoboshi later arrived the National Assembly complex for his registration but it is not clear if he was accredited.
