President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday assented the Public Holiday Amendment bill into law, Igbere TV has learnt.
This was made known by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, after the signing ceremony.
The new law allows public holiday to be declared on June 12.
Henceforth, May 29th will no longer be public holiday but handing over date and working day.
Meanwhile, Wednesday has been declared public holiday by the federal government.
