Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has issued a query to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II over alleged financial misappropriation, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV learnt that the query was issued on Wednesday by the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on behalf of Mr Ganduje.
The query comes days after Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission recommended Sanusi’s suspension.
The commission alleged that over N3.4 billion was misappropriated under Kano Emirate which is overseen by Sanusi.
It also alleged that the said amount was misappropriated between 2014 and 2017.
Ganduje and Sanusi had on Tuesday shook hands and shared laughs at the Eid praying ground to mark Eid-el-Fitr.
