Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the following appointments:
- Dr Offiah Awa Ukonye as Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Abia State Universty Teaching Hospital Aba.
- Prof F. Ezionye Eboh as Rector of Abia State Polytechnic Aba
- Chief Mrs C. A. Nwabughogu as Registrar Abia State Polytechnic Aba.

Bernard Ogbonna, Permanent Secretary Government House Umuahia.
According to him, “All the appointments take immediate effect.”
